LEAF - Learning English As a Family

English as a Second Language
Family Connections offers several supports for international families new to the United States and with limited English language skills.  This program is provided for a fee to employers who may offer it as a benefit for employees and their families. 

Enrolled families participate in the following activities over a 12-week period: 

  • Weekly ESOL (English Speakers of Other Languages) classes for adults
  • Weekly socialization activity for entire family
  • Weekly home visits focusing on individualized goals for family members in the areas of functional language skills and cultural adjustment
