Bargain Box Thrift Shop

Bargain Box Closed June 28th.

After careful consideration, HPC decided to close the Bargain Box, its thrift shop located at St. Alban’s Church.

July 19th
9:00 am. - 4:00 pm.

A liquidation sale of Bargain Box items will be held on July 19th outside at St. Alban’s, 2555 Euclid Heights Blvd., Cleveland Heights.

We are especially grateful for the hard work and dedication of our two volunteer Bargain Box coordinators, Kathy Alcorn and Deanna Mancino, who combined, have served the Center for more than 20 years through organizing Buy For Kids Sales and then managing the Bargain Box.

Thank you both for making gently used clothing and toys easily available to families and for supporting the Center!

All HPC programs are dedicated to serving families with young children.  Faced with ever-tightening budget constraints, we need to make hard decisions in order to dedicate as much time, energy and resources to our family support and family literacy programs.  Despite the decision to close the Bargain Box, HPC will continue to be responsive to families who call in need of clothing or children’s equipment.  HPC is working closely with the CH-UH Family to Family Collaborative which serves families in need within our community.  In addition, we can refer families to the Furniture Bank and other area thrift shops.

HPC extends its deep appreciation to all who have donated and/or purchased items over the years, as well as those who have volunteered at Buy For Kids sales and at the Bargain Box over the years.
